About iMoney
iMoney is an expense tracker for iPhone. You log what you spend, split costs with friends, and watch where your month actually goes.
It doesn't connect to your bank. You type each entry yourself — which sounds like more work, and is exactly the point. Noticing what you spend is the part that changes anything.
What iMoney does
Track what you spend
Log a transaction in a couple of taps — amount, category, date, payment method. iMoney suggests a category from what you type, and you can correct it. Set a monthly budget and the app shows you how much of it is left.
Split with friends
Tag a friend on an expense to split it evenly or by exact amounts. Both of you see who owes whom, and marking it settled clears it on both sides. Group events — a trip, a shared dinner — collect everyone's logs and work out the settlement at the end.
iMoney records the balance. It never moves money: settling up happens between you and your friend, however you already do that.
See your month
Monthly reports break your spending down by category, and you can export one whenever you like. If you allow it, friends can see your top-category donut — and you control that per friend.
Claim your @handle
iMoney gives you a @handle, the way friends find you. Before launch you can reserve yours so it's waiting when the app opens.
What iMoney doesn't do
No bank or card connections
iMoney never links to your bank accounts or credit cards, and never asks for those credentials. It isn't a bank, a payment processor, or a money transmitter.
No ads, no data selling
There are no ads in iMoney and no advertising SDKs. We don't sell your data or build advertising profiles. The full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
No tracking you around
iMoney doesn't read your contacts or calendar, doesn't track your location, and doesn't follow you across other apps and websites.
Signing in
iMoney uses Sign in with Apple and Sign in with Google so there's no extra password to keep. Either one gives us your name, email address, and profile picture — nothing more. iMoney cannot read your Gmail, Drive, Contacts, Calendar, or Photos.
Exactly what each sign-in hands over, and how to disconnect it, is spelled out in section 6 of the Privacy Policy.
Free and Pro
iMoney is free to use. iMoney Pro is an optional subscription, sold and billed by Apple through the App Store — we never see your payment details. Manage or cancel it any time in iPhone Settings.
Who makes it
iMoney is built and operated by the Up team. Questions, bugs, press, anything at all: upappco@gmail.com.
Working on something together? There's a business enquiry form. For help with the app, see Support.
